Information that may have been leaked

So far we have confirmed that order information (your name, delivery address, phone number, email address, order date, item, amount, etc.) is included. The exact scope is being investigated with an external firm, and we will post it here once confirmed. WASABI SWITCH does not store credit card information, so no credit card information was leaked.

How to protect yourself

Beware of suspicious emails, SMS and LINE messages offering a refund

Messages that misuse leaked order information, pretend to offer a refund and ask you to contact a LINE account or enter card details have been confirmed. In connection with this incident, WASABI will never ask you to contact us via LINE or to enter card or bank details.

  • Do not reply to, or open links in, emails or SMS about "refunds", "out of stock" or "order confirmation".
  • Do not add LINE accounts that you were directed to by email or phone.
  • Never enter or give out card numbers, bank account numbers, PINs or one-time passwords.
  • WASABI SWITCH does not hold credit card information, so no card information was leaked in this incident. However, if you entered your card number in response to a suspicious email or LINE message, contact your card issuer immediately and check your statements.
  • If you receive a worrying message, do not decide alone — contact us using the inquiry options on this page.

If you have already transferred money or entered card details

  • Credit card: call your card issuer (number on the back of the card) and ask them to suspend the card.
  • Bank transfer: contact the receiving and sending banks immediately.
  • Police: call the police consultation line #9110, or the cybercrime desk of your prefectural police.
  • You can also call the consumer hotline 188.
  • Please also let us know through our inquiry form.
